unable to update or use ebay Samsung S8

in the last 24hrs ebay says it needs an update I press update takes me to galaxy store or android store both say im on the latest version. So i uninstalled ebay & reinstall & it cones up with the same msg still. 

So my last 4 purchases I used Amazon as im not waiting around. 

my account is fine amd can access it from laptop but phone its buggered. 

I have cleared cache etc......

No clue what to do mext other than just stop using ebay

You need to obtain a newer phone with a more up to date operating system or the app will not work

If you can't or won't get a new phone you will have to sign in via the mobile browser to www.ebay.co.uk  instead of using the app

i have the same S8.

It says up date to os 10, but they don;t do it for an S8.

I to have the galaxy S8, why were customers not advised in advance or even run 2 seperate operating systems, therefore enabling older phone users who's phones have worked perfectly fine for the last 8yrs to carry on....as we are all Ebay users, we r all ebay customers...therefore ebay are not providing good customer service to all...just the ones that can afford a newer phone...terrible.

Ebay are really messin up , ridiculous pricng system, no access on older pjones, crazy.

Same problem with the same phone. I deleted the app and instead opened the web version then added the website to the app screen. I now have the same ebay logo etc in the same place as the old app and it works fine.  I do understand however that older phones and technology are less secure but it seems such a waste to buy new when my old S8 works fine for my needs.

Just had this on my son's phone. It's crazy that  if it works on the browser the phone is obviously still capable
