feedback

Can anyone please explain the point of automated feedback. I have just had 4 more, all recent sales thus not giving the buyer time to add it themselves . I had some when my feedback  score was very low and did not expect any more. And why 4 now as there are many others without feedback.

Also not sure what Select Board is for. None seemed very relevant

Its to prevent issues with new or occasional sellers running the risk of only getting negative feedback and this then having an impact on their account.

Automated positive feedback will be added to your feedback profile 7 days after tracking confirms successful delivery, provided the following criteria are met:

  • Tracking shows the item was delivered on time
  • The buyer hasn’t left feedback yet
  • The buyer hasn't reported an issue or opened a return on their order

I don't see the issue. The buyer can still choose to overwrite that feedback if they wish. But if an item has been tracked as delivered, the feedback left is accurate and it improves the look of your feedback level.

I am so annoyed by this as I wanted to give feedback as purchaser but when I looked it wasn't available to do. So I followed up with seller and saw eBay had completed the feedback as a bland, "item delivered".

I had lots of purchases that were not opened immediately because of a family crisis. Then when I discovered I couldn't add my feedback I was so annoyed.

Why have Ebay stopped me from doing this???

Please tell me how the buyer overwrites the eBay feedback because I couldn't.

Automated feedback from eBay will remain visible unless there is an indication that there was an issue with the transaction, for example the item was damaged or you opened a return. If this happens, we will remove the automated message.

You can still leave your own feedback within 60 days of delivery, in which case the automated feedback will be replaced with yours.

we’re you attempting to add feedback after more than 60 days?

What has 60 days got to do with it. I WANT THE CONTROL NOT YOU and your
dictatorial attitude.
I am already fed up with your new buyer protection fee and so I'm looking
to sell my stuff elsewhere.

Thanks for not asking us, the users what we want and expect.

Feedback can only be left within sixty days of receiving an item.

No one posting in this thread works for eBay or sets policy. The only folks that work for eBay have "@eBay" in their usernames. Users can only explain to you how eBay works, but cannot change how it works.

Try leaving feedback for your recent transactions here:

jeez  - calm down.I'm not ebay - all I've done is literally quote what ebay say in their policy.

What has 60 days got to do with it? 60 days has everything to do with it if you were trying to leave feedback after 60 days! because ebay deem it responsible (and I'd be inclined to agree) that 60 days is a reasonable timeframe to allow someone to leave feedback for a transaction.
