Hi,
I have been speaking with customer services since Saturday regarding the inability to produce and send invoices, and I have been told that eBay are aware of this issue, and working on a solution. I have been told on a number of occasions that a work round on this is to select "combine postage", this option is also not available on my system and even if it was it would be of no use to me because I sell and send large items of furniture (antique desks and chairs) around the country via courier (not the usual DPD, Evri, Yodel) so the freight prices are not set, but usually man and van couriers, so the price always varies.
It concerns me that eBay is saying via their system status board that there are no known issues, and all services are working perfectly, when clearly this is not true.
Is anybody else experiencing these problems with invoicing, does anybody know if eBay are actually working on a solution to these issues? T.I.A...

Lots of people of having these issues. You have to let the buyer pay full price then issue a partial refund. No idea when ebay will fix it. So many changed recently they have their hands full.

I have been a buyer and seller on eBay since 2001. The combining postage/ invoicing problem, and the buyer protection fee [and there should be only one fixed fee on up to 40 multiple items] only seem to apply to private sellers. Those sellers operating businesses or shops don't seem to have the same issues. I'm a little cynical. Because of competition eBay were forced to introduce "It's Free to Sell", but need to make income from somewhere. I can't see them rushing to fix the problem

Yes its so annoying this, they want us to issue a refund on excess postage with the funds they are also holding until item is delivered....joke!
Seems to be only an issue with Private sellers, maybe HMRC have advised ebay to do this to flush out the private sellers who are hiding being businesses and not paying tax on the items sold lol.....

They will not put invoicing back it is deliberate. Yesterday i had to refund £11 postage which came out of available fees not pending. Everything is a lie believe nothing you are told by so called mentors and customer service. I have just now been asked how someone gets a combined invoice well they can't can they so if i refund him assuming he trusts me to pay up in full it will come out of the bank because there won't be enough money in available balance
Simple delivery will stop all combining of invoices anyway when it is forced on us. They will have total control of everything

We know it will not be fixed and it is deliberate and was probably meant to coincide with the forced simple delivery but they can't get one simple thing right. The internet is awash with 1 star ratings because you can't give a 0*. Q2 should be interesting

I have more a problems with fee avoidance than sending invoices.
Although for those that suffer the inconvenience i am sure its a major issue.

No they are not working on it. I have just had to refund another large amount of postage and now my available balance is -£2.09. I did explain everything to the buyer and he trusted me and paid up in full for the 5 items, my fear now is that they will disable refunding, nothing would surprise me

I cannot use simple delivery because my items are pieces of furniture, I use man and van courier services and their prices always vary depending on the size, amount and delivery location.

Some items will not have to be simple delivery in your case it's impossible to use it

Not all listings on eBay.co.uk are eligible for the Services. eBay will determine which items are eligible for the Services. eBay reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice to you, to alter or amend the eligibility requirements for the Services, including, but not limited to, limits on the number, type, category, and/or value of items and/or transactions.
Not sure if this helps but the weight limit is 20kg and they are only going the allow Evri and RM as options
