Technical difficulties please try again

Every time I try to sign into eBay on my new phone it keeps saying technical difficulties try again later but I still try later and it's still saying technical difficulties it's been like this for 4 days I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling I've tried changing my password and still nothing customer service is useless

What model device are you using, and what operating system version? Which version number of the eBay app are you currently using?

There are some issues that can prevent you from seeing or getting the latest version of the app, particularly in a new phone. You may need to get a newer version of Google Play Store or Google Play Services, for instance.

In general you want the latest version of the eBay app, but if your operating system or device does not support that, there may be an older version that works better for you.

Otherwise use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

I have the new honor 200 and it has the newest update on it and the eBay app version is 6.1

Also getting this on eBay app and cannot search for anything, on a Samsung s24 ultra and android and eBay app all up to date, have tried re-installing three times.

App is broken in some elements

I've had someone saying the new update the app had is stopping people from
signing back into your account I don't know if it's a bug or something I'm
not very technical with these things

Same issue, new phone Honor 200 Pro, everything is up to date and I have tried reinstalling the ebay app and clearing data/cache etc
My account (via desktop) in 'Messages' recorded a login but the app doesn't work. Stating:
"Technical difficulties , please try again later"

Has there been an update?

I'm back into my eBay account now somehow but I don't know what it was but
when I went on eBay on Google and found something I wanted to buy I clicked
on it and it asked me to sign in I did that and it let me sign into my eBay
account on the app it's strange

same issue here just got a Honor 200 Pro and the ""Technical difficulties , please try again later"" error.

This app doesnt like this phone.

Just to add that I am also having the same issue on a Oneplus 12 device. looking over on Reddit this seems to be a common issue. 

Anyone know a workaround? The app does not work at all for me, clicking on ebay linbks on chrome, which takes me to the ebay app says npothing could be found. Trying to sign in, I get technical difficulties. Funnily enough, my partner can use the ebay just fine on her Oneplus 10T.

Sign in via the browser webpage until the app bug is fixed

I cant it redirects me to the app even if I set the browers to desktop version.

Only thing I can think of is uninstall app then it cant redirect.

If your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app and you cannot update your operating system or use a previous version that is still supported, it should still be possible to use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk and use eBay that way.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, iOS users should be able to tap and hold an eBay browser link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening. Android users need to go to the device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links and select "don't open in the app".

I am having the same problem since updating to an LG Velvet operating on Android 12. I have reported this to Ebay on numerous occassions. I have emailed them screen shots of the error messages. Has there been any official communiques from Ebay about this yet?

I have the same issue. Can ebay please sort this out as the website is nowhere near as good on android phone.
