Sold prices missing for some items

I've noticed recently that some item pages are missing the sold price.

One example is item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335673915196. If one uses advanced search for that item # then the sold price is displayed in the results list. Go figure etc.

I logged it with ebay support chat who said it was because the item was private. This is ridiculous since other private items display the  sold price. And the sold price showed in search results. After I challenged this the support person went quiet and someone else took over - and apparently the chat historywas gone. 😞 

The second support person said it was because the item had sold and therefore the price was no longer visible. Despite me sending them another sold item number with the price visible they insisted this was the case. So I asked for a supervisor. The support person said he wanted to save my time and guaranteed that the leadership team member's  response would be the same as theirs! But I insisted ...

The support leader came on, who did at least recognise and then acknowledge the disparity - finally! But they said they couldn't investigate it or log an issue as I wasn't the buyer or seller! They hand-waved it away as a site design choice. Hm, I wonder if this is indeed a portent?

Then I asked to raise an official complaint about it (so someone else could at least look at it) which they did. However they said that I would receive no response as it would just be an internal thing.

Has anyone else seen this? If they are the buyer or seller can they log it?

It does seem odd that the seller's recent sales, from the last week or so, are all missing the sold price. Items sold before that are showing the sold price. I haven't noticed this happening elsewhere, as yet. Perhaps it is a glitch of some sort? 

I don't see why eBay would start removing the sold prices... but they did take away the link you could click on

ie 'more than 10 available, 85 sold', which would show the list of sale price & date sold. That was always very useful, so I was annoyed when they took that away. Why?

Tx, good spot about the seller's other missing prices. And about the historical multiple item sold prices too!

I can see that providing historical dynamic data might be more expensive (in terms of data processing cost) that just the listings (will sold item photos be next up for the chop?), but IMO historical pricing is a key piece of information for both buyers and sellers - it's even suggested when creating a new listing.

TBH I was disappointed by Ebay support who have been very good in the past, and who have not previously tried to fob off with spurious explanations. Then again that was a while back so it may be the removal of most seller fees has had an impact elsewhere.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else reports a 'missing' sold price occurrence in their completed listings...

I still miss not being able to click on the multiple item sold link - it was such a quick way of finding out how many items had been sold over the past few days/weeks etc, and if the price had gone up or down.

One of my many concerns over the 'new look' seller feedback page, is that the price of the item is missing, where it would normally appear alongside the feedback comment. I'm still clicking back to the nice, Classic feedback page, where the prices still appear above 'verified purchase', but what will happen when the Classic page is taken away? How much information will disappear with it?

they did take away the link you could click on

eBay removed the link, but if you have that link bookmarked, you can still use it by pasting in a new item number:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/bin/purchaseHistory?item=322061277867

Unfortunately, using that link with the item number in the original post does not display any prices.
