When I create a listing in Drafts I use bold and coloured text for title and a few other headings. Today when publishing listings, I find that other sentences have been altered to appear in bold or coloured text. Also, line spacing is not as I arranged it. This happened a few months ago.
I have tried revising the listings and it makes no difference. Tried writing from scratch and no difference. I have contacted Ebay who have referred it to the tech team. Really sick of this issue wasting hours of my time again. Anyone experienced anything similar?

You're not alone, I came on to check if anyone else is having formatting issues. After publishing changes I am seeing whole paragraphs in bold and spacing between paragraphs removed

Yep, I'm having this issue too 🙄

Me too! Just replied to this post regarding HTML and Item Descriptions from earlier in the year, but I'm experiencing the exact same issues as mentioned above in this thread.
Another afternoon wasted trying to fix an eBay problem 😠
Can you offer any help kat@ebay marco@ebay dave@ebay ?
Just to add, for me, this is only happening in my business account, and not in my private account.

Hi All,
Can you provide some item number examples or links to draft examples and we can have it reported.
Thank you,
Kat

176957848544. 'Excellent undamaged condition..... ' should be in black text and not bold. Can't revise it and same problem with other drafts.

Hi, same problem here since 27th of March. Any items listed before 27th of March are unaffected. Please see attached links of my listing where one shows example of correct text formatting and the other one has a lot more text in bold (no intended). It seems like any attempt to correct the text does not work. Font style, bold or plain text formatting always stays the same. This affect any listing that we need to edit the description text. If I am selling similar item from my sold item lists and I don't edit the description text, all formatting stays as intended.

Hi All,
Thank you for providing the examples. It is now logged with tech to investigate further. Everyone who has posted here has been added to the ticket. If anyone new adds to the thread can you please provide a listing number example and advise of what is incorrect in that listing.
Thank you,
Kat

Hi Kat, please can tech take a look at my newest listing too

When I remove Bold font the formatting seems to work fine and spacing goes back to normal but when I change a heading to Bold, all the text beneath the heading is changed with it. The text above the heading is unaffected. Only seems to affect the description details from the second paragraph onwards.

Thank you,

Same problem here - emboldening text seems to screw up immediately after the second emboldened section - the first one seems ok. (Spacing also gets screwed up, gaps between paragraphs, etc).
Viewing the HTML shows </strong> closing tags in the wrong place.
Am dealing with this by copying the badly-formatted text into Notepad, going into html mode in the listing, deleting everything, then going back into 'normal' text mode and pasting back from Notepad.
It's annoying - and you lose the formatting - but it least the listing looks legible again.

Hi @myvintagehomestore ,
I don't have a timeline on the fix for this but our team is actively working to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Once I have any updates on it being resolved I will post back.
Thank you,
Kat
