I've sold an item for collection only. The buyer has paid and I tried to send a message to them with my number and the address to collect from and I got the following message:
It appears your message contains contact or payment information which is not allowed under our Member-to-member contact policy. For the safety of our users, we require all communication and all payments remain on the eBay
I removed the phone number and I get the same issue with just the address. In the end to get it through I had to put spaces between each character of my address.
I haven't sold anything collection only for a while but surely this is a bug?

If the buyer has only just paid it might take a little while for the system to update itself. Try again a bit later, if still no joy get onto customer services about it. You can request a callback on here:

I see you sorted it out yourself anyway. 🙂

Yes, plan B was take a screenshot of my address and send that!
They paid yesterday so should have been in plenty of time, just curious if there was some other way of exchanging addresses now or if it's a bug in the system

Must have been a glitch. eBay are only supposed to block messages containing contact info before payment, not after.

The buyer is automatically given your address by eBay once they pay for the item so there is no need to send it manually.
