Personalisation messages not getting to sellers

Problem is as follows, find an item that can personalized, make selection of type of product, fill in personalisation mesage box, press add to basket, press purchase basket, order is confirmed, some point later get a message from seller asking for personalisation details.  Had this problem a few times, most recently with a seller who has a 24 hour after order no cancellation policy but took 5 days to inform us that we "hadn't sent personalisation details with the order".  Can someone check this out / fix this problem?
