New combined invoice feature doesn’t work

I notice the system has changed in relation to sending a combined invoice. Now it appears to have a separate page where all the orders eligible for combined invoice are displayed. Keep getting this error message no matter what I do in terms of clearing cookies, changing browser etc. 

Keeps giving me a “something went wrong. Please try later” message. I’d attach an image here but the format doesn’t support a jpeg, useless!!

Chatted to eBay on live chat help they just told me it’s all working from their end 🤦‍♂️

Thank you for your post.

 

Ebay is aware of the issue with not being able to send combined invoices.  Its currently been worked on to resolve. While we don't have an exact timeframe for the fix we will provide an update to the community as soon as we have it.

In the meantime the seller can refund the shipping difference to you after purchase.

This has been almost 24 hours without a fix.

 

The chat assistant gave me the "helpful" advice of offering the seller to refund after they paid in full for lots of excess postage or cancelling all of their orders and getting them to buy again.

That is all very well and I have been having problems as a seller now for over 2 weeks trying to combine invoice.  The problem I have with your advise is that although I can refund the buyrer after purchase you then charge me a percentage for issuing a refund.  I also lost two sales last week because the buyer was not prepared to pay the double postage even though I contacted them to say I would refund the difference.

I understand the frustration with the combined invoice option not working. Tech are working on resolving it as soon as possible.  Ebay don't charge a fee on doing refunds. Where are you seeing this in your order?

Hi Kat,

My customer has managed to speak to someone at ebay although I have tried through the system and cannot get any further than the auto syatem which keeps asking me do I have any other questions.  She has ordered 7 items and insists she has been told there is now ay that I should not be able to send her a revised invoice for the postage.  I am now at my witts end as she is now saying if I cannot send her an invoice she will cancel the order.  Can you find someone who will call me and advise how to get this invoice done.  I never had a problem until Enay changed the system and added this new combined invoice page.

I'm afraid there is no way to do the combined invoice for the buyer as we know its not working right now. You can direct this buyer to our community here to see that we have confirmed its a technical issue on the threads. I understand it is difficult to deal with buyers who are not aware.  We don't have the option for call backs here as we don't access accounts. You can request one through the contact us option here.
