Did you log in via Google or similar?   Because that can start a new account and ID.    If not contact ebay and ask them to check your account.  You can use callback on here:

The account was set up in august last year so can’t remember.

Have deleted app and reinstalled.

Will put item to sell on again via my app.

There is no way your listing can be on an account that isn't controlled by you.  

Can you try and login with the username and do password reminder?
