Hi everyone.
OK, so I am new-ish UK EBAY seller, and only a standard Seller (300 free listings). Over the past month I have listed 300 products for sale and as I created each listing, each one showed as "no listing fee" / £0.00.
Or at least most the time they did... Occasionally an odd listing I start to create would show that it required a listing fee, and when that happened I did not save activate the listing page - instead I refreshed the the browser-window which seemed to fix the listing page and return it to "no listing fee" / £0.00 required. At the time, I assumed that was just a bug of some sort.
Anyway, my listings are all on Buy-It-Now repeat every month, and a couple of days ago I found I could list over 300 products (up to 600) no listing fee / £0.00 required. Firstly can I just check that this is what UK EBAY allows - every month an extra 300 free listings are added on to the original 300 free (making 600, with each month adding on 300 more)? I was never really certain about this. It has been just over a month (I think) since I activated my first listings.
Well anyway, as I said I now have listed 600 listings for free (or at least they showed as "no listing fee" when I made them). I need to revise nearly all my listings (my product descriptions etc needed tweaking), and so far I've revised nearly all 300 of the original 300 listings. When I try to edit listing 301 (and every listing onwards), all those listings (which are new-ish created over the past few days) show as "£(so-and-so-price) listing fee" + the "save button" now shows as "Revise with displayed fees" instead of just "Save". Why am I not allowed to revise my most recent created listings FOR FREE when they were all originally saved as FREE "no listing fee" / £0.00? I did notice the "time left" for some of my original 300 listings are still nearly 24hours before they reset for a new month - could that be what is causing my newer 300 listings to be show as requre a listing fee when revise edit them? And when the 24hours run out, will that fix them making the FREE again?

Is the charge 35p ?.If so you have gone over your monthly listing allowance, anything over that is 35p per listing.
Stating like new and then putting "Used product - the original factory sealed wrappings have been removed, but product is still in great condition."
May cause problems.

Yes the 301 > onwards listings show as 35pence fee (I said "so-and-so" because I wasn't going to check every single one).
But like I said originally - after listing 300 a month ago, I listed 301 > onwards in the past few days - EACH ONE SHOWED AS LIST FOR FREE AS I CREATED + SAVED THEM. But now when I go back to try and revise edit them they show as 35pence fee.
Have I been SECRETLY charged 35pence for all the new 300 listings, even though (as I keep saying) they all said FREE when I made them?
Oh and BTW, I don't see what is wrong with my description and product quality rating. Most my products are practically new, although their wrappings have been removed. That technically makes them "used" and since they are practically new and unused, that makes them "like new" (a.k.a "used like new").

As a Seller it helps to become very familiar with eBay's rules regarding description of condition, see Item Conditions by Category. Quite a few years ago eBay banned the use of near new and like new because these ambiguous terms confuse Buyers.

OK whatever, maybe I will tweak my description of conditions for my products some time in the future.
BUT PLEASE PEOPLE - THIS IS NOT THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE IN THIS TOPIC!
Sigh, let me explain as a kind of timeline, since people can't read properly (or be bothered to) what I was saying.
How many times do I have to say and ask the same things before people focus on the main point I was trying to make? OK, yeah I admit I over describe things and do long descriptions of stuff that most people probably don't understand or just can't be bothered to read, but come on people - I WAS TRYING TO TALK ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH ACTIVE LISTINGS THAT NOW SEEM TO SHOW ERRONEOUS FEES WHEN I TRY TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE PAGES (I WAS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE DESCRIPTIONS OF MY PRODUCTS). Sheesh.
