Unfortunately eBay is not very responsive to complaints about items listed in the wrong category, and some sellers are either careless in how they list or else choose inappropriate categories on purpose, apparently.
You can avoid a lot of mischaracterized listings by searching by keyword and using category-specific filters, rather than simply browsing a category. You can exclude up to ten sellers' listings by username using the Advanced Search page, then bookmark or save the resulting search.
