I have a small number of sellers that I don't want to leave negative feedback ( we all get things wrong now and then) how do I remove the item to stop repeatedly requesting feedback.

You can stop the reminders in general.  Go to your Account tab > Communication Preferences > General Preferences > Feedback > Edit

There is also an option in Purchase History' under 'more actions' to 'Hide order' which might also stop feedback requests if you just want to stop them for certain orders.

I say might as I've not tried it myself.

Just ignore, they will stop. No-one is under any obligation to leave feedback.
