Disappearing Drafts !!!!

Has anybody else had this happen to them over the past few days ...Ive done some research and gather its not a new issue however ive been setting up drafts over the past week getting ready for this weekend , signed in yesterday and 8 of my drafts had dissapeared into thin air !!! Spoke to ebay who advised me of a technical issue.....Not good , 😡

Hi Kat,

Unfortunately, I was preparing to launch a store for my grandmother and had been uploading her items as drafts until we were ready to launch. I did a lot of research and am hoping there is a way you might be able to save me from having to do it again.

Is there anyway that we can get those drafts back now ?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to get the drafts back if they had previously disappeared. However the issue should be resolved so drafts should be saving now.

If you have newer drafts you created over the last few days that are disappearing are you able to provide any examples so I can log this with tech?

I have lost 2 drafts and would like them back if they can please be retrieved...

I just lost 2 drafts today, One of them was edited by me only yesterday.

This problem has been going on for years and EBay dont really care.

Exactly the same has happened to me .. many hours of my time disappeared!

 I have also had several  (about a dozen) drafts disappear too, not exactly sure when, as am not a big seller, but.......they were there about a week or so ago.......now not there!! Some were not completed, some almost ready to go. The ones that were not completed have all gone!! I think they were mainly ones with no photos attached, as I had yet to get round to that! Ebay, can you help please?

Does Ebay have a time line for drafts to be deleted does anyone know?

I'm surprised anyone still uses drafts. Drafts disappearing is an ever present risk.

Despite what you get told time and time again nothing is ever "resolved" on eBay. It's the nature of the beast.

Things get shuffled around. Bugs disappear only to be replaced by the reappearance of other bugs. Round and round we go.

Better if eBay would list the current bugs doing the rounds and the workarounds when they were last present.

OK I think I see what is happening now. Before, drafts used to stay for 90 days but if you edited a draft, it extended the time by another 90 days.

Now the drafts expire 75 days after they were first created. 

I had been editing drafts and noticed that a new "expiration date" has been added. Editing the draft does not change this date.  So now once you create a draft you have 75 days from that date to either list it or lose it.

At least that is how it is showing on mine.

After having these same issues since starting the thread back in january ive found that anything over 10 drafts and things start to go amiss ....this may help

Hello Kat,

I have just been affected by this issue. I had one draft saved and it just suddenly disappeared.

Can you please investigate this, as it doesn't seem resolved as the technical team advised?

Yes this has impacted my account i have lost my draft - this is months after this issue was supposed to be solved.

I have recently returned to selling after a B year or so and has saved a large number of drafts to list. 

All but 2 have disappeared now which is incredibly frustrating. 

Can I please ask, is there any news on this bug or a workaround and please can I be added to the ticket.

Last time I looked, I had a few drafts saved and a message on there, tells you when they are going to be deleted. Ebay do seem to have a limit of time to relist.

Hi , 

I first started this thread in Jan but understand that it has been going on for quite some time, and no it hasnt been fixed . I have found however that anything up to 10 saved drafts and everything stays , but anything over that and things start to dissapear . I also tried copying a load but then lost all the photos . Best thing to do is only save up to ten and then list any others on the day you want to go live with them .
