Can’t contact ANY sellers?

For the past week I have been unable to contact any sellers to ask a question. When i press the contact seller button I get a message saying "something went wrong try again later". It is not specific to one seller it's all sellers. Any ideas anyone?

Could you tell me - is this an app problem, or in the web browser?  

If web, which browsers have you tried?  Are they up-to-date?

In normal messaging, if someone contacts you are you able to reply to them?

EBay says there is a bug, some can message, it appears to be only buyers.  We are sellers and can't start a conversation, really frustrating, and damaging to our reputation.  They are working on it, hopefully fixed soon. Haven't been able to contact anyone since yesterday morning, Thursday, unless buyer messages us first ...  insert grumpy face here....

This is indeed a technical issue from our end, mmayson I've added you to the technical report of this issue, so this can be resolved for you as soon as possible. I'm afraid I don't have an estimated fix time, but we normally try to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Hi Marco, yes we have been advised that we have been added. As of today we still can't initiate contact with any of our buyers, however we are able to respond to anyone who has managed to send us a message.  Hope this is fixed soon.

I've just been confirmed that this has been fixed this morning. If you are still experiencing the same issues, please allow a couple of hours for the fixes to take effect. If by the end of the day you are running into the same issues, please let me know.

I clicked “buy it now” button by mistake as my card was linked to eBay and I requested seller to cancel the order through eBay request but didn’t hear and I can not contact seller by messages it says something went wrong. I need urgently speak to seller.

It doesn't work for anyone and it's all sellers .

Very annoying as I have not bought several items due to needing to know a film region and other questions.

I thought maybe use the app which eBay are plugging like mad. 

But I was told it's no different and I don't like being pushed into installing apps and software etc.

eBay has changed things since this thread was started.

If you are having problems contacting a seller, be sure you are clicking on the "Send message" text to start typing your message.

If that does not help, try a different browser or a different link.

If you can explain exactly what page you are on and how far you are getting, someone may be able to provide further advice.
