CAN'T SEE BIDDERS IN APP . REOCCURRING BUG GLITCH

Dear Ebay a couple of months ( Early Aug 2024) you had a KNOWN technical issue which was an inconvenience & VERY frustrating. The issue was eventually resolved. However someone has just placed a bid & I cannot see who bid. I only see a graph chart . I cant click on the bid either . I want to be able to view who is bidding. How can I know if the potential buyer is a risk.  Dont tell me to use the mobile browser as the whole point of having the app is so we sellers can view all our activity in one place ! Please escalate this to the technical team because this deters me from selling & makes the whole experience miserable. I have cleared cache & uninstalled/ reinstalled the app but nothing has changed. Its definitelya problem on Ebays app . ! Please advise when this will be fixed as its urgent . Very frustrating

Can you share a screen shot to show the page the bidder information is missing on the app? Can you also share what device you use and operating system and I can log this with tech.

Hi Kat.  This issue happens on all lidtings & all devices. We use iPhone XR 2022, Samsung S20FE & Galaxy Tab 6.  We have latest Ebay app installed. On the listing the bidding is usually under the description & above the postage.  This is the exact same technical issue Ebay had in Aug. I have reported this directly with Ebay via help section aswell. The bids/ watchers are now above the title & you can click watchers which takes you to a graph but it's impossible  to click bids.  Thanks

Thanks for this detail @njluxe , its helpful. I have logged a ticket with tech to have it looked into.

Can you let me know if the ability to see the bidders comes back in the meantime.

Your known technical issue on the app where sellers cannot view bidders is still present. As you will appreciate 

1. This happened in August too !

2. No resolve despite it being a big glitch & technical issue Ebays end 

3. I use the app as Ebay state it's easier. It isn't. I can only see a graph of watchers & have to use the browser site to click & view bidders. 

4. I need access to a username within the last few minutes of a listing ending so I can view their feedback & block if they are high risk ie leave a lot if negative feedback or have no score 

This is so frustrating & I've had no further help on your forum for days. Ysing Androis S20FE. Cleared all cache / cookies. Uninstalled/ reinstalled app. Its not a problem for users its an Ebay issue thats now 2 weeks old .  Please advise WHEN this will be resolved as your unecessary updates always cause problems inconvenience

I understand your frustration with having it resolved .Unfortunately I don't have a timescale from tech on this.  I am continuing to follow up with them and right now they are still working on it.

Still no solution . I haven't listed for a while because of this. Now having to use other platforms as the app issues are never resolved within a reasonable timescale.  The software should be the best for one of THE biggest companies in the world.  It's so bad.  Really deterring me from using.  Thanks

Hi, Have noticed that it is still not fixed, has Tech ever given an update on completion time?

Hi. This was resolved earlier this year.  Try uninstalling reinstalling the app. Then go to settings - apps- storage- clear cache . Press clear cache .  You need to be operating on at least 10 or above device wise.  .  Underneath where your listing says bids you will see the amount ie 1 2 3 or however many are bidding. If there's 0 then you can't click .   The number will be underlined. Click on this & you will be able to see all your bidders.  I've attached a screenshot.   Hope this helps

Hi have followed your instructions, works on Windows, I can now see bidders - thanks 👍

But does not seem to make a difference on iPad, (and I am surmising iPhones), as the bidder number is still not underlined and no option to click on it.

On iPad or iPhone browser . Go to settings, apps, Internet ( running Internet in mozilla / Chrome is best ) go to clear browsing cache from storage . Both need to be operating on IOS10 or above.  Or uninstall app go to apple store & reinstall or update the app . Then switch phone on & off ( soft reset ) 

Kat@ebay is there a solution for those on the above Operating system ?
