Archived messages disappearing

Has anybody else noticed messages disappearing from their message archive? It just seemed to start last week.

I'm not sure about this, but I think eBay delete even archived messages after 6 months, although there is no mention of this in the 'Messages' article in the help pages.

And since the 'new look' Messages took over, everything is pared down to just a few symbols, so no help there, either!

Thanks for that, but the messages that disappeared were barely even 6 weeks old!

Well that is odd.  Can you track the missing messages down in your emails, if you opt to have them sent? Obviously it's handier to be able to keep them all in one place, in the Messages archive - or it would be, if it was reliable!

Maybe someone else will be able to shed some light on this.
