App not working, says update and won't.  Just stuck in a loop of trying to update and it saying it has the latest version. Whatever you did put it back the way it was

I'm afraid they have the wrong information, a Community Manager has confirmed there's nothing to fix, it's not a technical issue.

The latest app requires Android 10 and ios 17

Members have suggested removing the app and using the browser on the phone works well.

the latest app update doesn't work with my iphone running ios 15.8.3. i can not update to ios 17!! i now can not use the app. I have been using ebay for 20 years. I need this to be fixed. Where can we get a compatible version please?

You can install an older version that works on ios 16 (iphone 8 onwards)
That worked fine for my wife`s iphone 8. Nothing available for earlier
models running ios 15 though like my iphone 7 😞

I'm not sure what we can do really just pray eBay doesent seem to be getting back to any one of us  I've tryed deleting everything with no such luck or helpSent from my Galaxy

The latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

Brilliant thanks ! That workaround worked for me on my iphone 7 running ios 15.8. Took me a while as i`m not too tech savvy but it`s up & running again.......for how long remains to be seen. 🙂

Spoke on the phone to one of your reps who told me that basically she has had many such calls relating to difficulty in uploading update of Ebay app.

Surely you would have realised that not everyone is as rich as Ebay and phones that are not the latest but perfectly adequate for one's needs, would not be ios17+ and so could not update.

In one form or another, I have been a member of Ebay from 2000, pretty close to its inception, and feel very let down that to continue my mobile communications with my listings etc, I would have to dump my perfectly adequate phone and replace, at a huge and unaffordable cost, with a new one.

I agree 100 percent with you EBay is not doing anything to help us just
leave the bloody app how it was this is causing to many upsets and long

Thanks Ebay for shutting the door on me. I have used and helped others use Ebay for years and now cannot access it on my older gen phone.

Can Ebay explain why they are happy to exclude me from using  their platform? Odd way to keep  customers and build their business.
