I have a few items that require private listing but I can't find the option in the listing process.

I did this a couple of times in the past on an old account but I've tried both 'old' and 'new' listing methods with no joy.

I use a laptop rather than a phone to list. Is it available only using a phone?

you need to use the business listing tool to enabled 'private' listings

and if you are buying to sell you also need to

Upgrade to a Business Account

Before worrying about private listings you should worry about your account status. 

You appear to be trading on eBay as a unregistered business seller. 

This means you are trading illegally in they eyes of Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and unless you are filing a separate disclosure you are failing to pay tax on income from your eBay sales. 

You are also in breach of the eBay user agreement and all your listings could be removed, your account suspended, or even closed. 

You are also leaving yourself wide open to allowing any of your buyers to return goods and obtain a full refund within a 12 months period because of your account status. 

I know it sounds a bit heavy but your post here has drawn attention to your trading activities worldwide, and you never know just who has taken notice.
