Been with eBay since 2002 and haven't sold anything since 2013 I think but just tried to list and it says I'm banned from selling(words to that effect).
where/how can i find the reasons as to why?
and what can be done about it?
looking at your feedback I would assume ebay banned you for the negative feedbacks you received
You are in the USA but these are the UK Community pages. You need to ask on your own Answer Centre.
I would however guess that is is not exactly a ban on selling, many things have changed over the last few years and you probably need to update or re-verify your account.
We have no access to your account so we cannot explain this ban you need to take this issue to eBay Customer Services, their lines are open now, select the Live Chat option.
To contact eBay Customer Services, type Advanced Search in to Help & Contact bar top of your eBay page. Scroll down to the bottom of that page, you will see Contact Us, and the option to use Live Chat, and sometimes, there is a Call Back system.
Both options will give you an approximate time you need to wait for a response from their team.
these are the UK boards and oyu are in United States, best log into your designated site - https://www.ebay.com/
However just looking at your selling feedback you would have been banned over here.
I too imagine it's the result of all the negative feedbacks you received. Ebay does not like unhappy buyers. And you would have been banned back then and received an email from Ebay telling you so, so I'm not sure why this has come as a surprise to you. Once you're banned from selling, you're banned for ever. There is no way back, I'm afraid. You will have to find another venue to sell on. Plenty of them around, especially in the US.
