there is no one to contact about this problem, only a tele sales team in the phillipines, ebay have conveniently made themselves remote from any problems sellers need to contact them about including the insertion of best offers when expressly objected to
an email is sent informing you of this for legal reasons but if you look at your listing details you will notice ebay have not checked the accept offers box with a tick as it would probablybe unlawful as a listing is a binding contract
You say in the title of your thread that eBay have added the Best Offer option to your listings. Although you haven't specified which template you're using I would say that you're using the basic listing form, as eBay have an annoying habit of altering listings without the seller's consent when the adverts have been created using the basic listing form.
If my assumption is correct and you have used the basic listing form to create the advert then there is an easy way around the problem. First of all end the listing, citing "Error In Listing" as the reason why. Once you have done that relist the item again, but this time use the Advanced Selling Form, which is sometimes referred to as the Business Listing Tool. Ignore any warnings by eBay that it's for business sellers only - anybody can use it to list their items for sale and you will not be penalised in any way if you do decide to use it. If you use the Advanced Selling Form to set up your listings then you will find that eBay's unwanted interference will stop, as they do not tend to interfere with listings set up using the Advanced Selling Form.
Once you have set up the listing using the Advanced Selling Form save the listing as a template with which to list similar items in the future, as this will save you time in the long run with setting up future adverts. Should you need to use the presaved template again in the future just delete the photos and item description relating to the first item you listed with that template, then upload some new shots and an item description written specifically for the latest item that you are listing. The other presaved information, such as postage options, size and weight of the parcel, etc, will all be automatically carried across from the presaved template and so you won't have to fill the Item Specifics fields in all over again. However, should you need to change something on the listing - for example, if you need to update the postage costs due to increases in Royal Mail postage prices, then you can manually overwrite the presaved information so that the updated information shows up on the latest advert. If you do make any amendments to the template, though, make sure that you save it prior to listing the item for sale, as that way the updates will be saved and you won't have to do them again, which will save you a lot of time if you are listing several items with the same template one after the other.
