if buyer says they can not use paypal to pay for goods as the facility is not available i know it is

Do not forward any different forms of methods for them to pay.

If Paypal are hving technical issues inform your buyer these are usually rectified quickly,  and for them to try again a little later.

There is sometimes a two step verification which involves Paypal calling your home phone number,  so you need to be present when the call comes through ,  for them to verify you are the Paypal account holder.

If it was washing machine, then cash on collection is best, no paypal issues.
