that I'd actually listed a provided photos of all except the waist measurement, I went off the label which says 34" but they do infact measure 20" across, this is also one of his complaints, the ebay representative said when I receive the shorts I can contact them and provide photos or video as the buyer may be abusing the ebay money back guarantee policy, how do I do this or do I just refund the buyer and take it on the chin?? what annoys me most is that I had to provide the returns label grrrr thank you in advance
If your buyer has opened a case for item not as describved, the you do have to pay for that fully tracked return postage and fully refund through those case details and within 8 days, that way your seller fee is refunded, and no damaging defect on your account.
Then you can try an appeal if you think the buyer has abused eBay's 30 day MBG.
Here's a tip when selling clothing , as it can be a minefield open to just what you have experienced.
Add every piece of measuremtn to the description, waist, chest, leg, all that is applicable. I even lay tape measures across the items in photos so there can be no misunderstanding about an item's correct size.
If the waist measurement was 20" across and not the 34" stated on the label, then that's wildly out and a not as described return. That's not an abuse of eBay's Money Back Guarantee - your buyer is entitled to a refund.
Something must've got lost in the conversation you had with the eBay rep about an appeal, perhaps they didn't quite grasp the situation. There is no way to upload videos to eBay appeals anyway.
You'll need to accept the return and issue a pre-paid returns label.
If you don't, and the buyer escalates the return to ask eBay to step in, eBay will provide them with a label and re-charge you for it, you'll get a defect against your account and will lose your seller fee credit.
