Yet again ebay have allowed a buyer to leave negative feedback for delayed post .
I have appealed but as usual ebay always favours the buyers .
The way ebay treats sellers is disgusting ,
There are severe delays with royal mail and lots of courier services but ebay choose to ignore this and allow buyers to leave negative for delayed items of post through no fault of the sellers .
yes its unfair but you made the situation much worse by leaving a false positive for the buyer.
eBay will remove your comment if the buyer asks and that will damage your account more than the neg.
Given that there are still delays with items being delivered to the recipients after they have been posted perhaps you ought to extend your despatch times whilst also ensuring that you make a point of despatching sold items as quickly as possible after payment has been made. If you were to do this then the extended delivery time would give you a bit of extra stoppage time in the event that the item ended up getting delayed in transit. It also ought to go some way towards reducing the amount of Item Not Received cases opened against you, as by extending your despatch times you would be pushing eBay's latest estimated date of delivery further into the future, and a buyer cannot open an Item Not Recieved case against you until the latest estimated date of delivery has passed.
Should you decide to take this advice then you may well find that you see a reduction in Covid19-related Item Not Received cases being opened against you, as even if the item is delayed in transit and doesn't arrive within the timeframe that it probably would have done prior to Covid19, so long as the item reaches the buyer prior to eBay's latest estimated date of delivery the buyer would not be able to open an Item Not Received case against you. Therefore, extend your despatch times to overcompensate for the current postal delays caused by the combination of the coronavirus pandemic and the Christmas rush. There aren't many ways to protect yourself as a seller on this site, so make the most of the few options that are available to you to combat this problem.
This may answer your question. https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/UK-Sellers-COVID-19-delivery-amp-seller-protection-upd... Ebay say they will automatically remove Defects and feedback, although how they are going to identify I don't know.
Ebay CS just give the standard answers that it is the buyers opinion. CS and a lot of buyers are still living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.
