Why didn't ebay offer 100 ads for £1 during lockdown but otherwise regularly do?

I got a message for 100 ads at £1 every 2-3 weeks from September last year up until lockdown, then they stopped, lockdown lifted and now they've started again. Is it because, like supermarkets, they didn't do special offers to make as much money as possible out of Coronavirus? But of course they were cracking down on people price gouging laughing

"But of course they were cracking down on people price gouging"

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but by doing just that and removing 15,000,000 items how was that helping to make lots of money.

Offers were made to Business Sellers, it was no doubt considered unwise to encourage private sellers to go out unnecessarily.

Just to add that many of us are still in lockdown. We don't all live in England.

There is an offer for next 7 days, you have to be invited.

Check messages & promtional offers section, under ebay summary.

they did, but they were targeted at specific sellers,
