Why can't I leave feedback for the buyer?

It's been a while since I sold anything here, and it used to be straightforward. I cannot see how to leave feedback for the buyer, and although the item sold pane says 'Feedback left', my feedback hasn't been updated. Also, although the buyer has received the item and messaged thanks, I am not getting payment for another week?

This used to be good and easy...

It still is good and easy, Stuart. 🙂 Everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including what the 21-day payment hold is, and why it's applied  to all new and infrequent sellers, is in the Seller Centre (link at foot of any page). You also have the Help pages with their integral search to refer to (links at top and foot of any page).

I understand the new rules about payment, but fail to see why the money is still held after a good delivery and a happy customer. And I still can't see how to leave feedback nowadays, and the help forum doesn't help, at all.. Thanks for responding though, cheers.

you've sold one item and left fedback for the buyer:-

New and returning sellers are subject to a hold on the payments but the payment goes directly to your paypal account and shows as held/pending.

Log into your paypal account.

You may have to claim the payment

or confirm your email address.

If the payment isn't showing in paypal and the email address that was used for ebay is different to the one you use for paypal you will need to add the ebay email address to your 'profile' in paypal.

if you have left it longer than 30 days the money will have been returned to the buyers and you will need to contact them and ask them to repay.

Never post the item until you see the payment in your paypal account.

if you used tracking the funds will be released about three days after the tracking shows as delivered, if you didn't use tracking and the buyer leaves feedback it will be released about 4 days after the estimated delivery date,

if you didn't use tracking and the buyer doesn't leave feedback, you will have to wait 21 days.
