Someone bid on my item and it showed until item ended. Item the unsold. How come?

Someone bid on my item 1 hour and 50 minutes before it ended. I watched the auction end and it said highest bid £xx. No one else bid and the auction ended. However, despite there being a bid showing, the item was then shown as unsold. How can this be possible? Surely a bidder cannot pull a bid in the dying seconds.

Are they allowed to do that? I thought a bid was as good as a sale.

There was no notification. Bid status reverted to 0. Clicked on it and nothing happened. Really annoying as I thought it was sold!

it's annoying but there's not much you can do about it other than putting them on your block bidders list.

Only when you are paid do you have a sale.
