Seller question - buyer has not paid and too late to either cancel item or open case

Hiya,

One of my items sold a while back but the buyer hasn't paid for it, I have sent payment reminder messages. I have also paid ebay the seller fee.

It is now past the deadline to open a case and eBay will neither let me open a case or cancel the sale. My only option appears to be contacting the buyer who is not responding.

My preferred option would be just cancelling the sale so I can sell the item on depop instead and getting a refund on my seller fee. I do understand this might not be possible just looking for some advise on what I can do to resolve this.

Thanks!

ISSUE RESOLVED - Please note the response I recieved after contacting ebay for anyone else who may be in this situation.

"Thank you for following up with us today in regards to the item you sold. I understand the buyer never paid for the item and you would like to cancel the order. Situations like this can be frustrating especially when a buyer doesn't pay for an item and you have been waiting this long. I am more than happy to help you out.

Due to the time that has passed, after 60 days of no activity the order will automatically be canceled. This is the only option left. As far as the selling fees, I have credited those back to your eBay invoice to cover you since the item was never sold. This will show up on your invoice within the next 24-48 hours.

I trust this resolution will find you well. We appreciate your time and understanding in this matter. We wish you the best of luck with your future business here on eBay."

just forget it you cannot get your fees back - block the buyer and relist.

don't go contacting the buyer as they have 60 days from the date of the transaction to leave whatever feedback they want.

If you've left it too late to open an unpaid item dispute or cancel the transaction there's no way to get an eBay final value fee credit.
