Scam alert?

Hi there,

i have an item currently on auction. A buyer wants to pay subsantial amount but wants me to send him an invoice request via paypal. Is this a scam?

yes its a scam and if its the X230 you have a bid so you cannot sell it to them - ignore and block them.

As well as being a possible scam, even if it was`nt, don`t be tempted to do an `off ebay` deal with anyone, because ebay will pick up on it and you could be suspended for it. Don`t rely on any emails saying you`ve been paid, physically check your paypal account to make sure, also, and call me suspicious, but make a note of any serial numbers etc 🙂
