Payment to seller following dispute resolution

Hi,

A buyer raised a dispute against an item I sold claiming it wasn't as advertised. Whilst I was arranging a return (which was later cancelled as the buyer agreed to keep the item) I had notification that funds had been witheld. The dispute was found in my favour but there's no reference in the resolution to the unpaid fee, just that I don't have to re pay anything and goods may be returned. Am I to expect the payment? My bank nor Paypal show the transaction so I know I haven't been paid.I'm worried that although Ebay found in my favour I'll end up without the item nor payment which doesn't seem right really??

This has nothing to do with the return request.

All new and occasional sellers are subject to PayPal's 21-day payment hold. Up until now, you've been inactive for 6 months, so the hold will apply to you.  It's a security measure, to protect both parties (hackers target accounts that have lain dormant for a while).  Unless you have tracking proving delivery, the payment hold will last for the full 21 days. You can read all about it in Ebay's Sellers Centre, and in the Help pages.

As soon as a case is opened, the money is Frozen and excluded from your Paypal Balance.

"The dispute was found in my favour" What dispute? It was a return, so it should have been cancelled by the buyer!

If you won the money would be released, have you looked in Paypal. Has the Case been properly closed? Look in Resolution Centre to see if still open.
