Payment hold - actions taken, but still no payment

In the absence of any help from Ebay, I'm hoping fellow sellers can help instead!

I'm new to Ebay and consequently when I sold my first item, the funds were held by Ebay to check I wasn't a fraudulent seller. Ebay advised of several options to quicken up the release of funds - I sent the item by recorded delivery, and the buyer left positive feedback. However, a month after the buyer 'paid', I've still not received the funds. Paypal keep reminding me that I have held funds and to contact Ebay. Two days ago, I followed the 'Payment Holds' FAQ process on Ebay and got the message "We've reviewed your transaction and your payment is now eligible for release. Your funds will be available in your Paypal account within 24 hours". Two days later, and I've still not received the funds. I called the Ebay helpline this morning and requested a callback - 10 hours later, and no call has been received.

Any advice on how I can get my funds?!

Also, in trying to resolve the issue, I inadvertently opened an 'Unpaid Case' with the Buyer. How can I cancel this without any impact on the buyer or myself?

Thank you!

when you sell the money goes to the email address that auto filled the payment field when you created the listing,

if you use a different email address for paypal you have to change it when creating the listing

click on 'sell similar' to see what email address is in the payment field

then if it is an email account you can still use, log into your paypal account and add it to your profile,

you will need to confirm the email address and the money will appear

if it is an address you can no longer access you need to apologise to the buyers and ask them to cancel the payment through their paypal account

then you can send them an invoice from your paypal account

if you have left it longer than 30 days the money will have been returned to the buyer
