What a sham packlink is. After selling a food processor for £100 packaging it perfectly and paying extra insurance Hermes( via packlink delivered it damaged. Despite photos and the buyer wiling to provide confirmation, packlink will not pay compensation. They want a photo of the package at the moment of delivery with label intact.. Who the hell takes a photo of there delivery's! The buyer had of. COurse ripped the label on opening just like we all do. Furious and am thinking of taking it further. Have contacted ebay but no response yet. Anybody else been in this situation?
No, because I never buy my postage on Ebay. I buy direct from my chosen carrier so that I can deal direct with those at the coal-face if necessary, rather than a postage broker. Adding a third party into the mix is never a good idea in my view.
No idea why you've contacted Ebay. Ebay have no involvement in the delivery process. Delivery problems are between you and Packlink, the postage broker you paid your money to and who your contract is with.
As long as you bought the correct service (one which fully covers the item's value), and the item is not on the carrier's 'exclusion' list, and your packaging was indeed bomb-proof (bearing in mind that many sellers believe their packaging is perfect when it's anything but), appeal the decision.
