Item refused by Ebay because of the name Robertson`s, but plenty of other identical items allowed!

Have an enamel  badge with raspberries  and a leaf on it made by Robertson`s. Ebay is refusing to lallow me to post it although there are numerous identical badges on their platform. They are citing that it has discriminatory connotations. 1) the badge advertises raspberry jam    2) Robertson`s, years ago, were associated with the , `golly` badges..now considered racial...but this is a fruit! 3) Ebay..therefore, appear to be selective regarding whom they allow and whom they don`t  therefore, discriminatory, themselves.

You have to be seen to be consistent if you run a platform on the net.

There are a lot of things that can't be listed here. You can read the list for yourself in Ebay's POLICIES (link at foot of any page).  That is how you learn what can and can't be listed - you should never make a decision based on what you see listed on the site.

Yours have been removed because they were discovered by Ebay, or reported by an ebayer.  The others are still there because they haven't yet been discovered or reported.  You can report them for yourself if you like - there's a 'Report' button on every listing.

No, mine didn`t get as far as being posted and I `ve just received a reply to my question to another Ebay seller who happens to be selling an identical raspberry pin badge. He says that he had to remove the Golly badges..fair enough but he also can`t see what`s wrong with a raspberry pin badge , neither can I.It`s ridiculous and all the communications I received from Ebay , kept mentioning, `gollies`..although there were none involved! They were extremely annoying as I went to school in Kenya and would no more sell a racist badge than jump over the moon. They just had one track minds and didn`t read what I wrote. Which appears to be quite common???

@silvasands The site is scoured by bots. The bots will have picked up the words 'Robinsons' and 'badge' That's all they need to remove a listing or put a stop on it, like they've done with you, before it's been sent. Ebay's rules I'm afraid, whether we like them or not.
