I recently sold an item and was given negative feedback Buyer has told lies.

Hi.  I have been selling on ebay for years and pride myself on my 100% positive feedback - I am a completely honest and trustworthy seller.  Recently I sold an item for which the buyer left negative feedback without even asking for a full refund which I have since given them.  They told complete lies about the item which I can substantiate.  I asked ebay to remove the negative feedback as it wasn't fair and they have refused - I gave them the full details of this case.  I have repeatedly asked the buyer to remove it - they say ok - but have not removed it!  I am so upset - even to the point that I will close my account with ebay and sell somewhere else if this doesn't get sorted.  When checking the buyers previous feedback from sellers there are several bad comments even to the point of death threats being made by the buyer!!  Why don't ebay listen to the SELLERS point of view??!!! Please advise me what I can do to resolve the issue!  Many thanks.

Well, Ebay can have no idea what you actually sent or what the buyer actually received, as they were not present when sent or received. In other words, none of the proof you say you have, proves anything at all, so the buyer's 'opinion' will stand. Only a judge can decide if a buyer is a liar or a scammer.

No idea why you refunded if the buyer didn't open a case...? No return, no refund. That's how the system works. Apologies if I'm missing something.

With regard to the negative feedback, send the buyer a 'feedback revision request' form.  If they won't revise, I see nothing that makes it removeable - unless you can convince Ebay that 'Sh...' is an abbreviation for the brown stuff, as using such words is a breach of feedback rules.  Your only other option is to point the agent who responds to your request for a callback, to the buyer's negative feedback left for others - if there's a high percentage of it, and/or it's as appalling as you say, that will often do the trick. Request too that they remove the entire feedback, not just the comment.

Note that you can't currently call Ebay direct due to Covid staff shortages, but request-a-callback (which I recommend over Live Chat) is available during working hours.

In the meantime, add the buyer's Ebay ID and PayPal email addy to your Blocked Bidders List if you haven't done so already.

Buyer can't remove it YOU have to send a Feedback revision request, look at the bottom of your own feedback page. if it is over 30 days then it will be too late.
