I have been recomended by Ebay to : send offer : as five items are being watched, how do I find out if it is one person watching all five items or maybe five different ones, it would make a difference to my offer.
As far as I am aware there is no way that you can find out whether it's the same person watching all five items, whether the same person is watching some but not all of the items, or whether you have completely different people watching each item.
One other thing that you may want to consider when submitting an offer to potential buyers is that due to the fact that eBay have set the system up extremely badly offers also get sent to people who looked at the item but decided that they weren't interested in it and therefore did not put the item on their Watch List, as well as being sent to people who initially had the item on their Watch List but who subsequently deleted the item from the list. I found this out myself when I viewed an ad for an item which looked OK initially, but on closer inspections of all of the images provided it was obvious that the item had been badly damaged, which was not disclosed in the item description. I therefore didn't bother putting the item on my Watch List but ended up receiving an unwanted offer from the seller to buy the item at a reduced price.
The ability for sellers to send people offers to buy the item at a reduced price may actually have been a good idea if eBay had ensured that they had set the system up in such a way so that the only people who were actually able to receive the offers were people who actively had that item saved on their Watch List. However, due to the fact that people who have already decided that they are not interested in the item are also receiving these offers, to those people who are no longer interested in that item eBay's bad programming has resulted in this feature becoming little more than unwanted spam e-mails relating to the item purely because they viewed the ad at some point. eBay really need to fix this fault, otherwise the function for the sellers to send offers is going to end up as little more than unwanted junk mail.
you cannot find out that information
