Hi All,
I'm fairly new seller on eBay so I'm slightly confused about this issue, I sold an item about two weeks ago, got paid via PayPal immediately, sent the item, I got the notification of item delivery everything went very normal. Two weeks later I got email from PayPal that someone has opened a case for ‘Unauthorized Transaction’ I provided them with tracking information once again. PayPal closed the case in my favour. Now I've received an email from PayPal that 'you’ve received a chargeback' .
Does this mean I'll be losing out the Item and the rest of the cost that goes with it ?
Did you post to the address provided by paypal. If you posted to any other address, then proof of Posting or even Delivery will not work. Some buyers ask you to post to another address deliberately as they know the rules better than you do and can get a Freebie.
You will have to speak to Paypal for a full explanation, as if a refund is made for a chargeback then there is also a nasty fee of £14 to pay.
