I was shocked to see sellers selling piles of undelivered royal mail parcels and packets on ebay surely this is not right .Most people when sending a parcel have a return address on the item so how can sellers have them in their possession .I was looking on ebay at what mystery box meant and there were several sellers showing piles of undeliverd parcels for sale .

You've answered your own question. Undelivered items will be returned to the seller, but by the time they receive them they may have refunded the buyer, or sent a replacement.
I don't know why people bid for these mystery boxes. Common sense should tell them that it's a way for sellers to offload stock that nobody wants.
I don't think strictly they are allowed, so try reporting.
They are no more than a Lucky Dip, and mugs who buy usually get some sort of rubbish.
Not really sure how undelivered mail gets into the possession of these sellers, I know Royal Mail stuff ends up in Belfast and gets to auction but assumed it was not auctioned off without being opened.
