How can I turn off Global shipping or is it too late now?

A buyer from Europe asked me if I would post direct to her instead of going through the Global shipping service as the postage they were charging her was very high. I agreed so I accepted her offer but I am unable to send an invoice and amend the postage. I have read some of the posts on here and can see there is nothing I can do now. Who controlls the GSP option - is it me or the buyer. Can't the buyer choose whether to purchase through GSP or not? Thanks

Although Pixiesen2012 is right in that you can't change the Global Shipping Programme status of an advert once the item has sold, you can opt out of it for all future adverts.  However, if you want to sell the item to this buyer outside of the Global Shipping Programme then what I would suggest is that before you cancel the item send the buyer a message via eBay Messages.  Explain to her that due to the fact that the listing was part of the Global Shipping Programme you cannot post the item outside of the Global Shipping Programme if the sale were to go through on that listing, so therefore you will need to cancel the sale and then relist the item again without using the Global Shipping Programme so that you can send it to her directly and save her some money on the postage costs.  So long as you explain this to the buyer before you cancel the listing the buyer ought to understand why you've cancelled the transaction despite agreeing to sell her the item, but if you just cancel the transaction without explaining why you've done so then she may just think that you've changed your mind.

Once you've sent the message to the buyer end the listing for the item that this buyer wants to purchase, opt out of the Global Shipping Programme and then relist the item again, making sure that you include an international postage option on the listing so that the buyer is able to make payment.  Once you've relisted the item for sale send the buyer a message via eBay Messages, stating that you've relisted the item, and provide the eBay Item Number so that she can look it up quickly using the Advanced Search option.  If you do that then your buyer should be able to find the item quickly before somebody else sees the item and commits to buying it.
