Email to pay direct to bank? Is this a scam?

Just had email entitled "Getting paid on ebay has changed" saying that I will be paid for sales direct to my bank and asking for bank details. I am suspicious so have not clicked on the link.

Is this genuine, does anyone know?

Never click on a link in an email. Genuine Ebay messages will be in your Ebay message centre too. If it isn't there, then what you've received is a phishing email, from a criminal gang purporting to be Ebay.

Ebay's Managed Payments is a genuine thing, though.  Ebay is switching all sellers to it from PayPal, with many sellers having already been switched. You can read all about it in the Seller Centre and in the Help pages.

Unfortunately it's true.  eBay are currently in the process of switching all sellers over to eBay Managed Payments, so the days of receiving instantaneous payments as soon as the buyer has completed checkout will soon be a thing of the past, as eBay take up to a week to transfer the money across to your own account, whereas with PayPal the money was always available from the moment that the buyer made payment for the item(s) that he or she had purchased.
