Circumventing blocked bidders list

Hi, I have a buying account and selling account. On my selling account I blocked someone from bidding/buying. The item that person wanted has now sold and was bought by someone who registered a new ebay account today and has an almost identical user name. I'm sure I read somewhere once that circumventing the blocked list was an offence (otherwise, why have the blocked list to begin with?). I've e-mailed ebay but would anyone have any advice while I wait for them to get back?

I had a look through the forum but I couldn't find any recent posts relating to this and maybe the rules have changed.

I can foresee negative feedback and an "Item not received" or "damaged" case coming soon.

Thanks!

If that should happen then arm yourself with both username ID.'s  call eBay CS from the Live Chat option from Help & Contact above,  they can see any linkage between accounts,  and you can report for malicious bidding.
