Can someone please tell me where I input the VAT amount as 20% in my ebay seller account?

Hi, this is the first time of using this community platform. Please can some one explain WHERE I input the value of VAT as 20% in my ebay seller account, I've been searching for several days now! My customer invoices are showing my VAT number but are calculating the VAT amount based upon  VAT as 0%!  Many thanks

It is all very confusing but as I understand it on the Business Seller Listing page there is I have been told provision for entering a VAT rate beside the price. It appears that you should enter as 0% as ebay is now adding VAT at 20% on to the purchase price.

I hope that makes some sense, as I always understood that Selling Price was inclusive of VAT, and for ebay to add again means buyer is paying more than 40%.

I suggest you ask on the Business Seller boards as someone their will have cracked the system.

Hello everyone, I have just got off the phone with ebay. The problem is with ebay at the moment. They cannot pull our VAT rate through onto our invoices. It is a problem they are aware of and are working to fix it. Legally if UK VAT registered and selling to UK customer, our invoices must display our VAT number and should display the VAT amount separately. This is not happening at present but willbe fixed soonish.
