I'm selling engine components, most of which are very heavy (up to 80kg), so it's obvious that a pallet delivery freight company will be involved....BUT as the item hasn't sold yet, I don't know where the buyer lives so CAN'T give a price......it's driving me nuts. So, what I need to find out how to do is: place a note re. delivery, and offer collection as well.
Thanks in advance

I suggest that you look at other listings for engines and engine blocks etc. to see how other sellers list these.
Many offer collection only, but some include the option of delivery.
If you wish to offer delivery, you need to state the cost, so will need to weigh the items and get quotations from suitable couriers. If there is a variable delivery charge (most couriers charge extra for delivering to remote areas) you can state this in the listing. (Expect objections, buyers in Scotland in particular regularly complain here about delivery surcharges.)
Try asking for advice on the sellers board, you may find someone with experience of delivering heavy items.
Just as an aside, don't forget that if a buyer tells eBay that an item isn't as described, you will be required to refund in full, including delivery, and also to pay for the return. This can work out expensive if a buyer is disappointed with an item. EBay never sees the item, and takes the buyer's word against the seller's for faults.
Sorry this is an Ebay Question and Answer Board you need to Search for Couriers on line. Collection Only is not a very good idea with Covid 19 looming at the moment.
