Buyer refusing to repay for items

I sold two German Badges and posted them off by 1st class signed for mail. After 8 days they had not arrived and so I made full refund to the buyer. Later the same day, the badges were delivered and I have asked thje buyer to refund me the payment for the badges. Despite numerous requests and two pay pal invoices, he has refused to make any payment so in consequence, he now has the badges and a refunded payment. E bay have been no help. Any suggestions please.

You don't say that buyer opens a Not Received case leaving you 8 days in which to refund before the buyer could escalate to ebay.

Instead of rushing to refund by what I assume is the wrong way, leaves you with no evidence that you had refund correctly through a case.  Ebay doesn't see you have refunded so there is no reason for them to support you.

If buyer had correctlyopened a case and you had held back from refunding thenyou woud not be in this situation.

Depending on how the buyer paid, if by Credit card it can take 30 days to be refunded, it is probably understandable that buyer would not want to repay you when it is highly likely he has not had your refund. He could even think you were trying it on to get more money out of him.
