Buyer refund

A buyer recently bought a jacket. I disclosed in the listing that this was a used item and had been worn. As she bidder it would appear that she accepted the fact that it had been used. The buyer has requested a refund on the basis that the item smells of laundry detergent of which she is allergic to. I thought it would be safe for a buyer to assume that a used clothing item would be washed before sold and as such, I didn’t think to disclose that it had been previously washed on the listing.
On this basis, would you accept the refund? If the buyer opens the case would I ultimately have to refund anyway?
I don’t think it’s too fair on the seller - the item is not defected in any way.
I’m fairly new to the refunding aspect on eBay, any help would be appreciated. TIA

It is a ridiculous reason for a return.  All she'd have to do is wash again in plain water.   But if she opens a case she would almost certainly win as ebay tend to side with buyers.   So it is best to accept the return and put her on your blocked bidder list.  Make sure you refund after return and via the case, not from Paypal.
