Hi,
I sold an item which was sent via UPS Next Day at the end of last week. Apparently the buyer wasn't in, so this was taken to a UPS access point. The buyer has since arranged an alternative delivery address, however the latest tracking says the item is coming up for the maximum amount of days to be held at the access point, so i'm assuming this is eventually going to be returned to me?
I wanted to drop the buyer a gentle reminder, however the buyer has removed their ebay account so I cannot contact them. When I click on their account, it links me to a DIFFERENT account, one that has also been removed.
I don't know whether to let this play out with UPS and see if the buyer collects, or try and get it returned asap (not sure whether this is even possible).
If this is returned to me I'm assuming i'll have to issue a full refund and be out of pocket for the postage, despite the buyer re-arranging with UPS, etc.?
Thanks,
Buyer has not removed themselves, only ebay can do that!!
It would be up to the buyer to open a Not Receive , before you were obliged to refund. Whether they are even in a position to open a case, if they have been removed or whether their Paypal account, to which a refund would have to be made, has also been closed.
I would suggest sitting back and see what happens, bearing in mind the complications I mention when the buyer is no longer a member of ebay.
