Booked and paid for a parcel collection through ebay - NO ONE COLLECTED ?.

For the first time I booked a parcel collection through Ebay & Packlink.Parcel should have been collected by Hermes but driver delivered across the Street then just drove right on past.

Hermes will take nothing to do with it saying I will have to contact the company the collection was arranged with.

Found a way to contact Packlink via ebay - page says to fill in the contact form then submit either email or live chat.Filled in all the details and then discovered there was no button to click on for either email or live chat.

Should have just risked it and went to post office

Anyone Help me out with what I should do ?.

Just sit tight and wait for Hermes to collect. All carriers are working with limited manpower at the moment, so delays are inevitable.

I don't know why anyone uses Packlink, though. I'm a business seller on another account, and have never bought my postage on Ebay or from any third party - it's too much hassle when things go wrong. It's the third party you have the contract with, and therefore the third party (Packlink) you have to deal with. The courier can't help you because their contract is with Packlink, not with you.

You could just as easily have bought and booked the collection from Hermes direct (via their website). It's very simple to do, so give it a try next time. 🙂

Yes I had never bought postage through ebay either,it was just by accident that I noticed the offer of collection service for the same price as drop off.It all seemed to work fine.was given a hermes tracking number and printed off label.Using the tracking number in the order from ebay it shows collection notified to local depot.Then on day of collection 2 hours after hermes had been on my street a second entry of 2delivery attempted.Collection was re arranged and same thing happened.On Hermes website it just shows "we're expecting your parcel" which is the same message you get when a drop off has be arranged.

My thoughts now are that HERMES knows nothing about this collection for the same price as drop off and are treating my order as drop off not collection.

God knows how many other sellers took up this offer so they did not have to go out .I have looked at the Hermes website and there is nothing mention about if you are an ebay seller you can get collection for the same cost as drop off it is just the normal costs - with collection costing more.

Have you looked in HELP & CONTACT at the new Seller Help.

Iwould never touch anything which involves going through ebay to use Hermes. You can get that standard of service by going to Hermes direct.

Serves me right I suppose for trying to save on postage - took advantage of the ebay offer for collection at drop off prices.Once bitten.....
