Bidder has asked me ‘the seller’ to cancel their bid. Shouldn’t they cancel?

Hi. A bidder has asked me to cancel their bid on an auction item that hasn't finished yet. As the seller is it down to me to cancel their bid? Will me cancelling their bid have any negative consequences with eBay?.....Cheers

Yes, they should, so that the bid retraction is logged on their feedback page.  But you can certainly cancel for them if you wish - it will have no negative affect on your account.

You can also add the bidder's Ebay ID to your Blocked Bidders List if you don't want them bidding on your auctions in future.

@chrisalbert1

there are very few reasons for a buyer to use to retract a bid,

if the reason they want to retract isn't one of them, they can ask the seller to cancel the bid for them

as they have asked nicely you can cancel their bid here:-

Cancel Bids on Your Listing

this won't have any affect on your account and will save you the hassle of a non payer if they won.
