Automatic bidders not paying

I believe I have identified an issue with Automatic Bidders.

Recently I listed an item. The winning bid was placed automatically at the last second by a member who only created an account a few days earlier. They did not respond to any of my correspondence and did not pay.

I have relisted the item which ends today. Again I am getting Automatic Bids from a different member who also only created an account a few days ago. I am concerned that this bidder will also not pay if they win.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with Automatic Bids?

Can I prevent automatic bids in future?

Should someone who has only recently created an account have full access to all the benefits, or should they have to prove themselves first?

Hope you opened a non payment case before listing, to get your fees refunded...

BTW...there is no such thing as 'sold as seen' with on line selling..so pointless stating it in your description...

Yeah thanks, I've done all of the above.

I reckon people are opening a new account, setting up automatic bidding on several items, but only paying for the cheapest one. They then close the account which will now have several unpaid items on it, and then set up a new one.
