AS A PRIVATE SELLER HOW DO I COMBINE POSTAGE FOR MORE THAN ONE ITEM OR HOW CAN I SEND AN INVOICE WITHOUT BUYER HAVING TO PAY FIRST. DON'T WANT TO USE BEST OFFER ON LISTINGS AS THEY ARE LOW VALUE ITEMS.
If the buyer has not paid, then go to your My eBay>Sold list. You should see all the items the buyer has purchased. To the right of any of the items you should see 'Send payment details'.
When you click on that it will take you to an invoice which will show all the items the buyer has purchased.
Change the postage cost in the relevant field to include the cost of the new postage, do not click reset, just check the postage is correct then click on Send Invoice, and the buyer can pay once they receive the invoice.
The revised invoice will supersede the original invoice the buyer will have been sent when they won/bought the item
Best Offer has nothing to do with combining postage.
Should you ever consider Best Offer you can set it to reject offers below an acceptable level. It works very well, even then you do not have to accept any offers, but it gives you all the benefits of a BIN without costing anything extra.
I find that many offers are above the start price and with an acute shortage of bidders in recent times offers can be very welcome.
