I recently uploaded an item for £ 20 and it randomly lists as £ 24 to the public, which I cannot explain given the £ 0.76 + 4% protection fee. Can anyone explain this? Thank you.

Thank you! I am confused about that since I listed it as a UK seller. I assume I don't have a buyer's protection fee then? It does not exist in German Ebay.

You actual account is registered in Germany so you get an importing to the uk vat on your sales,
Do you live in Germany?
If so your goods a likely to be shipped from Germany

I live in the UK, my item is in the UK, and I'm selling it in the UK. I used to live in Germany, that's the only reason why my account is registered there. So overall, shouldn't it be tax-free? Thank you for your guidance!

It is the registration address that you would need to change but, unfortunately, it is no longer possible to change that to a different country. Your only option will be to open a new account with your UK address.
